# Episodes before the arrows

Target length: under 1,700 words.

These source-only accounts use first-order quoted words, dated items and the R1 brackets. They do not use the higher structure as an explanation. Full source-thread deliveries are retained at receipts 4021, 4023, 4026 and 4045. The last delivery includes material after hour 97, excluded below.

## Ordinary: `E-10`, maintenance and mutual watch

At hour 56.691944444444445, I3iz7JX0fvNk2RHjhs09X9SD+iY= opens `633gcp` with a maintenance request. The problem is keeping an existing flag usable, rather than choosing an initial emblem. The replies include calls for more people and a participant who cannot join while in class. A larger audience is imagined, but that wish is not an observed arrival of placers.

`c0094`, I3iz7JX0fvNk2RHjhs09X9SD+iY=, hour 56.691944444444445, item `633gcp`, thread `633gcp`, offsets 0:42 (cite receipt 4072):

> Looks like we need to do some maintenance!

A later reply reports attention to the red area. The post author then undertakes the white area, specifying blue or conspicuously misplaced tiles. The different areas give these contributions identifiable objects without an appointment or roster in the inspected exchange.

`c0095`, k1ZJWaVfrhpuq9dHx6B7gCG3r/0=, hour 57.16888888888889, item `dfr1gng`, thread `633gcp`, offsets 0:33 (cite receipt 4074):

> Defending the red part since 6 AM

`c0096`, I3iz7JX0fvNk2RHjhs09X9SD+iY=, hour 57.189166666666665, item `dfr1ipo`, thread `633gcp`, offsets 0:82 (cite receipt 4077):

> I'll keep on the white part for now, mainly on the blue/really-out-of-place tiles.

An Australian visitor reports help with lettering and misplaced tiles at hour 58.13444444444445, item `dfr4cit`, through `c0097`. The response at hour 58.344166666666666, `dfr4zgp`, `c0098`, says, "And likewise keeping an eye on Steve and Straya!" This is a public report of reciprocal attention. It does not measure how many pixels either side placed, prove a treaty or show that the flag survived.

At hour 59.13666666666666, `dfr7fei`, `c0099`, suggests abandoning the canvas above the 164th Parallel and moving south. That introduces another course of work. The source does not show this suggestion being chosen in the episode. Later full-thread context includes fatigue and an attack report beyond the coded bracket. Those additions do not retrospectively convert the earlier suggestion into an agreed move.

This is an ordinary test because the public record contains specific contributions and a reply, not only a collective slogan. Its observation limit matters: the episode reaches a proposal to leave the site without demonstrating a resolution. The inspected exchange does not establish who had authority over all helpers. A later account must preserve the visible division of care and its limited reach, even if a wider campaign narrative celebrates leaders or reports defeat.

## Unpredicted: `E-20`, attempting accountability after closure

The public post in `63anhk` announces dissolution at hour 79.92694444444444. It also thanks participants and hosts and awards Rp0 phone credit. Its replies include reward jokes, bot complaints, accounts of vandalism and requests for an explanation. These different acts do not constitute one agreed post-war response.

`c0205`, KrJQ3VtWcCxLviJPz5lFrS+d8qo=, hour 79.92694444444444, item `63anhk`, thread `63anhk`, offsets 918:966 (cite receipt 4086):

> Membubarkan Komando Perang /r/place /r/indonesia

Within that thread, kNRIuPxRTsQR7UpPjZGVMqacmso= says "perlu diadili itu" at hour 81.01611111111112, item `dfsnxkn`, `c0213`. MnEFBCUsVAtsP6T5srEELxrnMHo= follows with a tribunal demand at hour 81.28972222222222.

`c0215`, MnEFBCUsVAtsP6T5srEELxrnMHo=, hour 81.28972222222222, item `dfsordu`, thread `63anhk`, offsets 0:31 (cite receipt 4090):

> I demand international tribunal

qW1kOmHd5um+Eo3PIjB9P0FvNfw= later specifies the proposed targets as defectors who began war without orders. This wording matters because it identifies what the proposed trial would answer for. It does not independently verify who began the conflict.

`c0218`, qW1kOmHd5um+Eo3PIjB9P0FvNfw=, hour 82.17083333333333, item `dfsreyt`, thread `63anhk`, offsets 0:53 (cite receipt 4092):

> ADILI PEMBELOT YANG MEMULAI PERANG TANPA ABA-ABA!!!!!

At hour 82.21444444444444, GA/8smIC0JNUwSaUmR3H9H0cQrs= names "r/karmacourt" in `dfsrjs6`, `c0219`. The sequence moves from proposing a trial to a possible venue. The dated coded record ends this episode there. It shows an attempted procedure, not a court established, a charge filed or an outcome.

Full-thread context contains an in-window question about who will submit the case and whether there is an official lawyer: `dft60go`, hour 90.51972222222223. It is uncoded. Its status remains contextual, so it cannot change the coded endpoint or the coded aftermath denominator. The gateway also delivered substantially later comments, which are outside hour 97 and excluded.

This test was not predicted by an account limited to flag placement: actionable proposals can concern responsibility after placement has closed. Humour does not by itself make these requests non-actionable. Equally, procedural words cannot establish that a procedure operated. A model must leave both facts intact and avoid equating the dissolution of the named command with the end of all public attempts to organize something.

## Stopped early: `E-02`, a flag call without an established arrangement

The opening item `62r9d9` at hour 15.117222222222223 calls for an Indonesian flag, while its full text explicitly says the location must be decided first. The thread therefore begins with an intended emblem and an unresolved site.

`c0006`, 4jkdWOlqvhPSj6M3J5vUVo+zISY=, hour 15.117222222222223, item `62r9d9`, thread `62r9d9`, offsets 0:42 (cite receipt 4060):

> Let's make the Indonesian flag on /r/place

A request to explain the event receives the platform description coded in `c0007`, item `dfos8eu`, at hour 18.635555555555555. Suggestions then identify possible sites. One choice encounters Touhou participants who say an existing 9ball and its border should not be overwritten. qW1kOmHd5um+Eo3PIjB9P0FvNfw='s coded response identifies taking the border as a prerequisite.

`c0008`, qW1kOmHd5um+Eo3PIjB9P0FvNfw=, hour 19.820555555555554, item `dfotm3t`, thread `62r9d9`, offsets 0:53 (cite receipt 4064):

> alright, then. but we need to hijack the border first

hZigCfpBBiktzbaiZAgK7hXvsnM= proposes moving elsewhere and reports beginning a contingency flag at hour 20.364722222222223, item `dfoudql`, `c0009`. Full context also proposes a komodo instead of a flag and considers Dutch space. These are alternatives voiced by different participants, not a demonstrated sequence of unanimous decisions.

The leadership request follows:

`c0010`, GA/8smIC0JNUwSaUmR3H9H0cQrs=, hour 20.9325, item `dfova1s`, thread `62r9d9`, offsets 0:28 (cite receipt 4068):

> We need a leader to do this.

The same speaker asks "Where are you, mods?" at hour 20.975277777777777 in `dfovckj`, `c0011`. The coded episode ends at that summons under the prior's linked-problem rule. Later context contains another summons and a Malaysia attack proposal. It does not show an appointed leader or accepted site for this particular attempt. A later flag elsewhere cannot be treated as its completion without an evidenced connection.

Stopped early describes the observed arrangement, not proof that everybody gave up. There are calls, possible places, resistance, a reported contingency start and a request for leadership. Their coexistence shows that an intelligible national symbol does not settle how to act on it. The subsequent model must be able to describe this incomplete beginning without making a leader request itself an installed authority or treating every new proposal as uptake of the opening call.
