Higher themes
These initial R3 cuts are coined constructs, not renamed coder themes or a framework copied from the four universal problems. Coded labels and membership remain unchanged. Pass 0 means the pre-model structure; no R4 pass is open. Gates govern coder-theme placement, not prevalence counts. Each theme travels on bottom-tier exemplars.
T4-001 —
Offering a common project
Declaration: coined; no borrowed source; recalled=false. Gloss: Showing people where to join, what to build and which plan to use, including an attempted restart.
Scattered willingness is made available for combination by offering an entry route, an identifiable object and a usable representation of the work. These offers can be partial, revised or difficult to find. An invitation to a replacement venue repeats the entry problem without showing a new group has formed. The shared practice is making participation addressable, not commanding compliance.
Question: How can scattered willingness be directed toward an identifiable shared undertaking?
Members: t02 — calling people into pixel work and its
planning rooms; t03 — laying out Dutch words, pictures, and
borders; t04 — publishing and changing the plan;
t11 — moving pixel work to pxls.space.
Gate: The coder theme's practice offers or troubles an entry route, concrete content/layout, or usable plan by which otherwise separate people could join a common pixel project.
Discriminator: Rather than restoring a breached arrangement (T4-002), it specifies the project to enter or build; rather than asserting rights against another project (T4-003), it makes contributions potentially combinable.
Variation: Basic access versus current-plan routing; object and starting pixel versus complete guide; live construction versus substitute-venue invitation; availability versus difficulty locating the current design.
Not: Proof of acceptance, implementation, a fixed goal or lasting migration; national enthusiasm or a finished-image judgment alone.
When both appear: Place the coder theme by the problem its material organizes: project specification/entry here, breached continuity in T4-002, contested entitlement in T4-003. Preserve mixed examples as boundary material without duplicating the whole theme.
Disconfirmation elsewhere: In another setting entry, object proposals and plans concern unrelated work or do not make contributions addressable to any common project.
Could be mistaken for: Centralized planning or achieved integration; neither follows from offering a project.
Least certain: t11. For inclusion, it offers an entry route to the same placing practice after closure, as t02 offers entry during it. Against, no jointly chosen new target or implementation follows and the coded quotes omit pxls.space; the full R2 context supplies that venue. Retain it as a thin entry variant, not a standalone core exemplar or evidence of integration.
Dimension: D01.
Core/side spread: entry explanation, early content instruction, starting-pixel commitment and exact guide; t11's late invitation is a thin side, not an invented middle. All evidence is from this room. The selected quotes span distinct coder practices rather than merely adjacent replies.

T4-002 —
Recovering workable alignment
Declaration: coined; no borrowed source; recalled=false. Gloss: Repairing, correcting or guarding work that contributors treat as already worth maintaining.
A project remains workable only as contributors revisit departures from what they treat as its current arrangement. They can synchronize repairs, demand correction, identify suspected interference, or ask for protection through vulnerable periods. The shared work is recovering continuity across independent placements; whether the breach comes from misunderstanding, a script or an adversary varies. The construct names attempts and disputes, not their success or a verified enemy.
Question: How is a recognizable project kept workable when independent contributions undo it?
Members: t05 — correcting pixels and holding builders to
the plan; t06 — defending Dutch pixels from damage.
Gate: The coder theme addresses divergence, damage or vulnerability of an already recognizable project through correction, repair, guarding or accountability.
Discriminator: T4-001 offers content or access; this restores or protects continuity. T4-003 contests who may occupy shared space; this treats an existing arrangement as the thing to maintain.
Variation: Internal miscorrection versus attributed attack; practical synchronized repair versus public accusation; immediate cleaning versus overnight guarding; demand, acknowledgment and retraction.
Not: Any orange expansion; a new design merely because it changes pixels; proof that an accused builder intended harm.
When both appear: Maintain the diagnosed problem as the test: restoring an existing arrangement here, asserting a new reach into others' work in T4-003. A defensive attack can be a near case without merging all attacks into defence.
Disconfirmation elsewhere: Correction and guarding refer to no recognizable prior work or instead create unrelated new projects, so continuity does not hold the practices together.
Could be mistaken for: Successful enforcement or reliable attribution of sabotage; apologies and unexplained nonresponse limit those readings.
Least certain: t06. Its defence talk can claim territory, not merely keep work recognizable. For inclusion, the cleaning and restoration passages explicitly protect existing work; against, military language can disguise expansion. The separating test is whether the practice takes an existing arrangement or another project's continued room as its object.
Dimension: D01.
Core/side spread: synchronized repair and public accountability, contrasted with cleaning and restoration priority. All evidence is from this room. The selected quotes span distinct coder practices rather than merely adjacent replies.

T4-003 —
Contesting what orange may claim
Declaration: coined; no borrowed source; recalled=false. Gloss: Pressing for takeover or seeking room, restraint and promises where projects compete.
People make rival claims about the legitimate reach of a Dutch project: one proposal treats another flag as available for recolouring, another seeks a border that protects a neighbouring picture. These are not shared commitments or a peaceful consensus. They are competing ways of settling whose work may remain and on what terms. Holding unilateral appropriation beside bargaining explains why an agreement in one exchange cannot stand for authority over all placers.
Question: Who may remain in shared space, and how far can a speaker commit the project?
Members: t07 — calling for orange attacks and
annexations; t08 — negotiating room and looking after
neighbours' work.
Gate: The coder theme presses, negotiates, restrains or disputes claims about occupying, replacing, sharing or protecting space claimed by another identifiable project.
Discriminator: T4-002 protects a recognized arrangement against a breach; this puts the reach or coexistence of otherwise separate projects at issue. T4-001's design layout alone need not settle another project's claim.
Variation: Annexation versus coexistence; visitor petition versus Dutch restraint; unilateral instruction versus reciprocal promise; claimed authority versus admitted inability to bind others.
Not: One peaceful norm, a community-wide change of mind, or a border line that only arranges internal layout.
When both appear: Use whether the dispute concerns another project's right to remain. Where it does, this is the primary organizing question; where a current design is merely being repaired, use T4-002.
Disconfirmation elsewhere: In another setting takeover calls and coexistence proposals concern unrelated resources or no rival project, so treating them as a common contest over reach explains nothing.
Could be mistaken for: A single boundary policy, a stable alliance, or evidence that promises were implemented.
Least certain: t08. A bargain differs sharply from a unilateral attack. For inclusion, both make competing claims about the same finite shared space; against, bundling them could falsely imply a single boundary policy. The theme's question is contested entitlement, not agreement; peaceful proposals, broken promises and inability to bind others remain opposed cases.
Dimension: D01.
Core/side spread: unilateral Greek/Czech annexation calls contrasted with no-expansion and protective-border promises. No conversion between them is inferred. All evidence is from this room. The selected quotes span distinct coder practices rather than merely adjacent replies.

T4-004
— Making a collective result tellable
Declaration: coined; no borrowed source; recalled=false. Gloss: Describing, judging, claiming and preserving what participants say their pixel work became.
The work becomes an account as participants mark progress, celebrate or condemn the result and give it a durable form in a header request, wallpaper or compilation. Live evaluation and post-stop remembrance both select what is worth describing as an achievement or a harm. They need not agree. This accounts for a result's public afterlife without treating praise as a placement instruction or preservation as continued production.
Question: What is made publicly recognizable and preservable as the result of the work?
Members: t09 — commenting on what the canvas has become;
t10 — marking Place's ending and keeping its result in
view.
Gate: The coder theme describes, evaluates, attributes or preserves a reported pixel result rather than primarily specifying or restoring its construction.
Discriminator: T4-001 offers participation in further placing; this makes the result available for judgment or remembrance. A post-closure artifact differs from a substitute-platform invitation.
Variation: Live progress versus final retrospect; pride versus blame; ephemeral title versus requested display or completed artifact; recognition versus material preservation.
Not: Verified visual success, unanimous evaluation, continued pixel placing, or evidence that a requested header was adopted.
When both appear: Ask what the action is on: arranging new pixel work goes to T4-001; displaying or interpreting the result goes here, even when a display request itself coordinates a small task.
Disconfirmation elsewhere: In another setting live commentary and post-stop artifacts do not render any shared result intelligible or preservable, and their bundle merely restates time order.
Could be mistaken for: A consensus about success or evidence that active coordination survived closure.
Least certain: t09. A fragmentary progress title can merely announce a picture rather than organize a collective account. For inclusion, it renders reported work available for appraisal; against, appraisal is not preservation. The bundle holds a shared public-result problem while retaining that variation and leaving its contribution to active coordination unproved.
Dimension: none. Narrating/preserving results is not itself arranging the active project's contributions or territorial reach; no second result-focused T4 theme supports another dimension.
Core/side spread: live progress and a reported transformed cat, contrasted with post-stop wallpapers and compilation. No unseen image is inspected. All evidence is from this room. The selected quotes span distinct coder practices rather than merely adjacent replies.

Coder themes not picked up
t01 — turning the subreddit itself into the April joke.
It concerns the observation venue's styling, language and feed, not by
itself a shared pixel undertaking. It remains contextual, not a
catch-all construct or a failed instance of coordination. Its precise
code mass and near cases are in structure.md. No original code or label
was altered.
