Target length: under 5,000 words excluding participant quotations and typed count bindings.

Scope and declarations

This is initial R3 structure. The complete assignments give each immutable coder theme a higher placement or an explicit status. No coder theme is split, recut or given an extra placement. The original labels and notes remain the source metadata; optional names remain in names.jsonl.

All higher labels and dimensions are coined working constructs. No explanation literature was read to validate them. Their glosses, disconfirming observations and nearest mistaken alternatives distinguish a proposed abstraction from a claim of established theory. R4 pass 1 marks each higher theme in_model because the candidate represents it. Memberships and gates remain the initial R3 structure; the use changes are stamped in tier_history.jsonl.

The sibling has no global third-order scheme or fleet assignment disagreements. The coder themes supply closed notes, rather than scheme_v2 gates. The descriptions below state what their material is and is not; the higher gates decide their placements. They do not replace the coded labels or manufacture new coder gates. Every grouping travels on exemplars rather than a prevalence gate.

Dimensions

D01: Bounded plurality

Construct status: coined; source empty. Keeping distinct contributions within a recognizable, cared-for and contestable shared field.

Members: T4-001, T4-003, T4-004.

Question: How can different contributors use common space while the form, permitted alterations and obligations remain negotiable?

The membership predicate is that a higher theme addresses the shared form of different contributions, their conditions of care and preservation, or the interpretation that makes changing them acceptable. Its gate asks whether the theme helps specify the common field and its revisability, rather than merely connecting people to a venue. Holding these practices together distinguishes allowing variation from deciding what to protect and how to interpret a contested change. None alone answers that combined question. The thinnest member is T4-004: meaning disputes may be local controversies rather than a general condition of plurality. I retain the dimension as arguable until the episode tests.

D02: Practical access

Construct status: coined; source empty. Making collective work reachable through people, plans and an available place to act.

Members: T4-002, T4-006.

Question: How can volunteers reach a joint task when routes to decisions or the venue for acting may be unavailable?

The membership predicate is that a higher theme addresses reaching a collective task through people or plans, or the availability of a place in which to perform it. Its gate asks whether practical participation is reachable, rather than which design deserves room. The combination distinguishes finding a decision conversation from being able to place pixels. The least certain member is T4-006: shutdown recognition can remain an individual realization, so its presence does not establish collective adaptation. The dimension remains arguable.

Nearest mistaken reading: Information provision or successful migration; finding an interlocutor and having a usable place to act are distinct conditions, neither of which guarantees uptake.

Disconfirm elsewhere: People can reliably find the joint task and perform it despite the absence or failure of every route and venue described, so the dimension does not distinguish an enabling condition.

Separating the dimensions from both sides

From D01, the issue is which forms, claims, alterations and care obligations make a shared field acceptable. Volunteers could reach exactly the same chat while disagreeing about those matters. A background compromise in c0064 illustrates the content side.

From D02, the issue is whether people can reach a task and have a usable place to act. They could agree about a design and still lack an accessible decision route or working canvas. Discord routing in c0353 and the connection contingency in c0415 illustrate the access side. A single item can discuss both; that fact does not require duplicating its entire coder theme.

T4-005 has no dimension. Recognition of work and loss answers a distinct question, and no second retained higher theme gathers with it on that question. Making an aggregate called attachment would outrun the record if it treated a shared time-lapse or an invitation elsewhere as proof of attachment.

Alternatives considered

One dimension called keeping the project alive would combine acceptable content, practical access and recognition without distinguishing what each explains. I rejected it. Zero dimensions would avoid that overreach but miss the distinction between revisable common space and the practical means to reach work. A third dimension for recognition lacks another higher member. These are substantive grouping decisions, not deductions from code mass.

Higher-theme gates and boundaries

T4-001: Patterned pluralism

Using repeatable hearts as places for different designs and identities. Members: t01, t03.

Gate: The material specifies a repeatable contribution form or uses its units to make a distinct design or identity contributable.

Separating test: The object is the form or content of a contribution, rather than rules of protection, a route to decision makers, or a reinterpretation of hostile meaning.

Variation: From homogeneous rows and outlines to country, pride, cause, fandom and character designs.

Outside: Proof that designs were approved, equally represented, or successfully completed.

When both seem possible: Place here when the main work is specifying or requesting the contribution; place protection and negotiated limits under Selective stewardship.

I retain both because their common contribution form makes that tension intelligible; the grouping does not assert a settled preference for diversity.

T4-002: Routed participation

Making plans, people and decision venues reachable to dispersed builders. Members: t02, t06.

Gate: The material recruits, locates, directs or mediates participation through a sign, link, shared venue, poll or representative.

Separating test: It arranges access to people or plans rather than decides the acceptable contents of shared space.

Variation: From a sign for unknown placers to named speakers, chat channels, polls and requests for official compromise.

Outside: Proof of representative authority, actual attendance, uptake or control over unaffiliated placers.

When both seem possible: Keep the route to the decision here; put the negotiated design or protection obligation under its substantive theme.

This is a single belonging test, not a conjunctive two-act gate. Least certain member: t02. A sign can appear to be mere publicity. The explicit purpose of reaching plans makes it an entry route to work; a purely celebratory banner would fall outside.

T4-003: Selective stewardship

Selecting what to spare or restore and seeking or assigning care for it. Members: t04, t05, t10.

Gate: The material defines, negotiates or solicits protection, preservation, restoration or maintenance of selected shared space or designs.

Separating test: It concerns what can remain, what should change and who should care, rather than the contribution format alone or moral interpretation alone.

Variation: From sparing a neighbour or bargaining over background to urgent rescue, guarding a banner, and assigning upkeep to a heart maker.

Outside: An inference that a truce held, a duty was fulfilled, a threat was real, or all protected objects survived.

When both seem possible: Specific rights, limits and care obligations belong here; changing the moral reading of an image belongs under Evaluative reframing.

This is a single belonging test, not a conjunctive two-act gate. Least certain member: t04. Boundary bargaining can concern room for a new object rather than repair. It belongs here when it specifies what may remain or change and what neighbours should preserve; it does not establish mutual care in every case.

T4-004: Evaluative reframing

Recasting what pixels mean to justify, redirect or question changing them. Members: t07, t15.

Gate: The material recasts the meaning or evaluative purpose of an image, text, erasure or proposed alteration.

Separating test: The issue is what the object or act means, not simply who owns space or which pixels match a template.

Variation: From redirecting hateful text or erasure toward affiliation and beauty to disputing whether a marked heart is hateful or religious.

Outside: Evidence that the researcher can identify the pictured symbol or that participants reached consensus.

When both seem possible: Put explicit interpretation of hateful, affiliative or religious meaning here; put a particular boundary or upkeep instruction under Selective stewardship.

T4-005: Relational regard

Recognizing the worth of shared work and its makers through praise, thanks or mourning. Members: t08, t09.

Gate: The material publicly acknowledges the value of shared work, a maker, collaborator or neighbouring project through praise, gratitude, commemoration or mourning.

Separating test: Recognition is the act; a build request, technical record, altered symbol or route to work alone does not pass.

Variation: From a visitor's encouragement and completed-work thanks to mourning vanished allies and memorial hearts.

Outside: Measured motivation, a promised reward, enduring membership or proof of intact survival.

When both seem possible: Place the act of recognizing a contribution here; an explicit prospective maintenance commitment remains part of stewardship when it is the primary organizing work.

This is a single belonging test, not a conjunctive two-act gate. Least certain member: t09. A memorial may seem to concern an ended tie rather than recognition of participation. Marking the loss still expresses value for the named neighbour; no continuing membership is inferred.

T4-006: Venue dependence

Recognizing limits on making hearts and trying to carry the work to available venues. Members: t17, t18.

Gate: The material relates current or prospective heart-making to a venue's availability, closure, alternative location or working connection.

Separating test: It concerns whether or where the practice can proceed, rather than ordinary routing to a still-available decision venue or remembrance alone.

Variation: From late recognition of shutdown and regret over warning to invitation, resumption plans and suggestions of alternative services.

Outside: Proof that all organizing ended, that everyone knew the deadline, or that a successor build was completed.

When both seem possible: A route to a decision remains Routed participation; selecting or testing an alternative place to keep the practice possible belongs here.

Unpicked material and nearest rejected merges

The unpicked set is t11, t12, t13, t14, and t16, listed with full reasons in assignments.jsonl and fourth/fourth.md. Critique, jokes, records and retrospective conflict remain available to question any later model. The image URL remains unresolved.

Merging t11 into stewardship would treat identity unease, ridicule of failure, unequal representation and accusations of displacement as one care practice. The substantive critique remains a threat to an account of successfully shared work. Merging t13 and t16 into recognition would turn mockery and conflicting pixel goals into shared regard. Their words do not establish that common practice.

I also considered combining t12 with recognition. A time-lapse can preserve a visible sequence without valuing its makers; the memory invitation has a further prospective act. The whole coder theme remains contextual rather than receiving an unjustified second placement or a topical theoretical rename. The detailed prior record still treats its archive invitation as coordination.

Placement review and source coverage

No extra placement was made; multiplacement_log.jsonl is empty. Thus there is no primary/additional pair to diagnose as a joint or lump. The structure does not infer joint mechanisms from topic adjacency. No fleet conflict inventory or transmission rate was delivered for this single-case task, and none is reconstructed.

Every coder theme in assignments.jsonl resolves in the delivered coding and has exactly one row. Stage limits

The prior's live-placement and aftermath boundary is retained. A global contrast between early- and late-starting rooms is unavailable in one case, and no cross-room contrast is fabricated. R4 will test sequences against the episode register; this structure supplies no arrows.

The form findings in form_pass.md concern turns, not topic memberships. They may question a later interpretation but remain outside assignments, higher members, dimensions and code-coverage classifications. A literal search cannot establish a stance or the absence of private deliberation. Authority, uptake, motive and implementation still require their own warrants.
